Project Goals

The Java Gui Builder project's goals are the following:

• Enable rapid prototyping of applications through the use of XML configuration file for GUIs;
• Ability for the end-user to change component ordering by modifying XML source files;
• Ability to switch GUIs on-the-fly by re-reading the XML source;
• Ability to test GUIs through an xUnit-style XML script.

Some of these goals are currently out-of-reach. The necessary framework is not yet in place to enable the system to read an XML file anew, or allow an xUnit-style testing script. These are the project's next step.
